Payment

We currently accept all major credit cards and Paypal payments.

 

Cancellations/Refunds/Exchanges

Due to the custom, and handmade nature of our products, as well as occasional product fulfillment outside of our studio (utilizing manufacturer partners) we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges. However if there is an issue with your order such as: damage or defect please get in touch and we'll do our best to get it sorted.

All damage and/or defect claims must be submitted within 3 days of receipt of product(s), and include photos. It's helpful if you have photos of how your item arrived, such as damage to boxes/packets/mailers etc. Beyond this time frame we are unable to be of assistance.

In fairness to everyone who's interested in our work, and because we are a small studio we cannot accommodate order cancellations. Please be mindful of your budget when ordering, and keep in mind that there are other critters trying to conjure our pieces - cancellations take that opportunity away from others.

Shipping

We do our best to ensure timely processing of orders, however please allow 1-2 business weeks from the time of purchase to shipping. As we are a small business we can only work as quickly as our hands allow, and due to the custom and handmade nature of many of our products this takes time. We'd far rather you wait a bit longer and end up with a quality piece opposed to rushing something out that we aren't happy with. We appreciate your understanding with this.

* Keep in mind that many of our items are made to order which can also add to this timeframe (estimated timelines are listed with applicable items).

* At this time we do not accept Rush Orders, please be mindful of timelines when placing your order.

Due to current UK tax change considerations we are unable to ship to the UK. We hope to get this sussed out in the future.

*If you are interested in our work and like in the UK please send us a message, we’re happy to look at options on a case by case basis. 

 

Tracking

We recommend choosing a shipping option that provides tracking, this is the best way to ensure the safe delivery of your item(s). If the customer chooses not to attach tracking to their order there is unfortunately nothing Selkie Cove can do if the order is lost or damaged in transit as there's no "backup" to provide the shipping company, or oversight on delivery times.

* All of our custom sculpted/painted figures (Critters of the Cove) automatically ship with tracking. This is our way of supporting your new magical friend getting home safe and sound.

 

Tarriffs & Duty(s)

Selkie Cove is not responsible for any Tariffs or Duties enforced by border authorities, these amounts must be paid by the customer. If the customer refuses delivery due to these costs Selkie Cove is not responsible for re-shipping or refunding the cost of: the product, the shipping, the aforementioned Tariffs and/or Duty(s).

 

Furbaby friendly studio

Although we do our best to ensure every package is floof free we do allow our furry teammates access to the studio. Please keep this in mind when ordering, and if you happen to be lucky enough to receive a sprinkle of floof please know it was sent with love.

 

DISCLAIMER: Small pieces pose a choking hazard. Selkie Cove products, such as: Critters of the Cove (Figures), Jewelry, Bookmarks, Wax seals, Prismcasters etc are not toys and are not intended for children under the age of 16.

Prismcasters are not intended for use within/on vehicles as they are a distraction and would obscure vision leading to dangerous driving conditions, pease be mindful in the safe placement of your prismcasters (suncatchers).

By purchasing from us you agree to make thoughtful choices in your acquisition and/or gifting of Selkie Coves products, and cannot hold liable Selkie Cove, or it's artists for any injury, or damage resulting from the use of our products.

 

  • Itty bitty print / Additional details:

    • The Selkie Cove critter figure giveaway runs: April 24th-27th, 2025 (entry deadline Sunday April 27th by 12pm).
    • Giveaway open to all attendees at the Calgary fan expo 2025 who meet all other entry requirements.
    • Adventurer must be 18+ years of age in order to enter, with legal guardians welcome to enter on behalf of their wee ones (please keep in mind that Selkie Coves critter figures are not toys and may have small pieces that pose a choking hazard).
    • Appropriate Identification must be provided, and match the details given at time of entry in order to claim prize.
    • Winner will be chosen by random draw and announced via Selkie Cove's social media and direct contact on April 27th, before show close at 5pm.
    • Pick up or delivery to be determined based on what works best for our winner.
    • Only one entry per person, with a maximum of 2 entries per household.
    • Entrant must gain access to the critter figure giveaway via magical QR code, located at the Selkie Cove booth in artist alley, during applicable giveaway window: April 24-27th, 2025 (alternatives available for those who prefer paper and pen).
    • Entrant must follow Selkie Cove on social media in at least one place, which must be noted on their draw submission form, complete with which platform they've followed Selkie Cove on and what their username is. This is so we can confirm all entry requirements have been met at time of draw. If entrant does not utilize social media they are welcome to subscribe to the Selkie Cover email newsletter. If entrant is not subscribed or following Selkie Cove at the time of draw another name will be drawn and confirmed, if the same thing happens we will move on to a third name and so on.
    • Entry into the Selkie Cove critter figure giveaway is voluntary and does not require purchase. The critter figure available as a prize has been thoughtfully chosen by Selkie Cove and cannot be exchanged for another critter/item, or returned for refund/store credit.
